Abundance Awareness: How to Align Yourself With the Flow of Life

When it comes to creating an abundance mindset and truly aligning ourselves with the flow of life, there is a foundational element that must be in place: Gratitude.
Gratitude is the foundation from which all goals and dreams can be built! When we are so thankful for what we have and faithful with what we have, it is only then where true magic can begin to take place in our lives.
With that being said, how do we cultivate this feeling of gratitude in our lives? The answer is quite simple: by acknowledging the abundance in life itself.
Look around, what do you see? -Do you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof over your head and a place to sleep? If so, you are richer than 75% of the world! -Do you have money in the bank, in your wallet and spare change in a dish someplace? If so, you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy! -If you woke up this morning with more health than illness, you are more blessed than the million who will not survive this week! - If you have never experienced the danger of a battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation, you are ahead of 500 million people in the world! Did that put some things in perspective? The fact is that when you cultivate this abundance awareness and remind yourself how grateful you are each day, all those seemingly big distractions you thought you had in your life begin to seem pretty small.
Just this simple shift in mindset will instantly put you in alignment with the flow of life! After we begin to cultivate this abundance mindset, the next thing we need to do is ask ourselves, "What do I want?".
What is it that you are passionate about? What type of experiences give you that positive, visceral reaction that makes the hair on your arms and neck stand at attention? Pursue those experiences! Next, who are you surrounding yourself with? Do the people you hang around have the same goals and ambitions as you? Do they build you up or drag you down? Always remember that we have a choice in creating the environment that will be most conducive to your well-being, we just have to be conscious and intentional about creating it! Lastly, what are we doing to protect and care for what is sacred to us so we don't get swept away or lost as we move through our lives? Take some time and really think about what it is that you hold sacred.
Do you meditate? Exercise? Volunteer? Work in the garden? Go fishing? Play music? Remember, we need to be intentional about caring for what's sacred in our lives.
If we continue to make up excuses as to why we can't do the things we love, we can never experience an abundance awareness and be aligned with the flow of life.
One final thought.
It is imperative to appreciate what we currently have in life, but what new and exciting experiences are we seeking out on a regular basis to spice it up? Let's truly ask ourselves, when was the last time I did something for the first time? What adventure would I like to embark on? Often times we can have some amazing personal breakthroughs if we immerse ourselves in rich experiences with other passionate people.
