      The Gallipoli Peninsula, aka Gelibolu, is only about 50 miles long and yet has become a popular tourist attraction with its ancient charm, peaceful atmosphere and clean environment.  People come from all around the world to visit the archaeological sites, walk through the Peace Park, stroll along the beaches or be part of the guided Anzac Day tours that pay tribute to Australian and New Zealand soldiers who died in World War I.
