How to Replace the O2 Sensor in a 1995 Chevy S-10 Blazer

    • 1). Raise the vehicle using the floor jack; place jack stands under the frame of the vehicle.

    • 2). Locate the oxygen sensors on the exhaust system. On the 1995 Blazer there are two on the exhaust manifold, one near the Y-connector pipe and one behind the catalytic converter.

    • 3). Disconnect the electrical connection from the oxygen sensor.

    • 4). Use the ratchet with the oxygen sensor socket to remove the oxygen sensor from the exhaust system.

    • 5). Lightly apply anti-seize compound to the threads of the new oxygen sensor. Be careful to avoid getting the compound on the end of the sensor.

    • 6). Install the new oxygen sensor into the exhaust system. Turn the sensor clockwise in the opening until you can no longer thread it with your fingers. Finish tightening it with the oxygen sensor socket.

    • 7). Reinstall the electrical connection to the oxygen sensor.
