Planning Your Visit to Llandudno

If you're visiting or thinking of visiting Llandudno in the near future you may be looking for things to do in the town and nearby attractions.
Llandudno is North Wales premier coastal resort and has lots to offer the visitor whether it's for a short visit or a longer stay.
There's so much to do in and around Llandudno that you may think afterwards, like many others, that one visit is never enough.
Not only does the town have two wonderful beaches covered in lots of sand, not like those beaches covered in rocks, but you can also explore the Victorian pier, the Great Orme, and take advantage of Llandudno's shopping facilities which are the best in North Wales.
The Great Orme dominates Llandudno's skyline and also shields the town from the winds off the Irish sea creating a warm pleasant atmosphere.
On the Great Orme you can find terrific attrations to explore such as Happy Valley and the Great Orme visitor centre.
For the adventurous have fun on the Llandudno dry ski slope with its toboggan run.
If you don't fancy walking or driving to the summit of the Great Orme you can take either the tram or the cable car which both offer different experiences.
The tram has been running for over 100 years and offers a relaxing journey to the summit in open carriages.
The Great Orme cable car is the longest in the UK and has some excellent views of the North Wales coast and town centre.
Within the town itself you can still find plenty to do.
Llandudno has the best shopping facilities in the whole of North Wales and the recently opened Parc Llandudno has added several major department stores to the town.
The main shopping street in Llandudno runs parallel to the promenade and has plenty of coffee shops to take a break in.
You can also find entertainment at Venue Cymru which is located on the promenade and North Wales largest theatre which regularly hosts top shows throughout the year.
Keep the kids entertained at Llandudno Superbowl or catch the latest movies at Llandudno's multiplex cinema.
There really is so much to do you'll struggle to fit it all in during one visit and we've not even mentioned some of the nearby attractions such as Conwy Castle, Bodnant Garden, or the Welsh Mountain Zoo.
