Memorial Day Car Shows in Maryland
Fallen Police Officer Car Show
- The Fallen Police Officer Car Show is organized by Road Runners Auto Club of Maryland. The event is open to all vehicles, with special classes for imports, motorcycles and vintage and currently active police vehicles. The event was held May 29, 2010, in Eldersburg. Dash plaques were presented to the first 200 cars to arrive, in addition to the 100 awards presented to winning vehicles. There was a 50/50 raffle, with proceeds split between the winner and the event's beneficiaries, the Children of Maryland Police Officers.
Street Survivors of Maryland
- The Street Survivors of Maryland promotes interest in old cars while raising funds for charity. Its annual Memorial Day Car Show took place on May 30, 2010, in Halethorpe. The show was dedicated to the memory of some former members and a donation was made to the American Cancer Relay For Life. Memorial show winning cars included a Best of Show, a Top 30 and a Top Seven Street Survivors.
- Several smaller shows took place in 2010 including the Altered Racin' Benefit Car Show on May 29, organized by Solar Solutions in Laurel. On the same day, the Chesapeake City Volunteer Fire Company held its Memorial Day car show in Chesapeake City.
