Getting to Sleep Fast and Getting Quality Snoozing

Here are some quick tips about sleeping better
  • Don't consume caffeine past 2pm because it takes 7-8 hours to get caffeine fully out of your system.
  • Don't eat within 3 hours of going to bed.
  • Don't exercise within 3 hours of going to bed.
  • Do not watch TV or read a mystery novel within 1 hour of going to bed.
These are just some general guidelines that you may have known of before, but it's important to keep them in mind.
How To Get Prepared For A Good Night's Rest Remember that you will need a period of transition before you fall asleep, a time where you switch into a calmer and more relaxed mode to get out of all that daily stress.
It's a good idea before going to bed to make a quick list or outline of things that you need to to tomorrow so that you won't have to worry about it as you are trying to sleep.
Keeping a voice recorder or a tablet with a pen is not a bad idea because you will be able to jot down any ideas that you have so that you won't be worried you'll forget them.
Develop some kind of "pre bed-time ritual" For me this usually involves, grabbing a boring book that I will sit and read for about 5-10 minutes in a slow monotonous tone with my mouth open till I start to yawn and get drowsy.
You need to find something that can help you feel extra drowsy before going to sleep because without being drowsy and tired, you won't fall asleep, you'll just lie there in bed for hours.
