How to Bake a Tender Steak

    • 1). Preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.

    • 2). Oil the steaks. Pour 2 tbsp. vegetable oil into a bowl and brush each steak with a basting brush.

    • 3). Turn the stove to medium-high heat and place the skillet on the heat. Do not add oil. Test the skillet to make sure it has reached a hot temperature. Place a drop of water in the pan. The water will evaporate instantly, creating a hissing sound, when the temperature is hot enough.

    • 4). Sprinkle the mixture of 1/8 tsp. salt and 1/8 tsp. pepper over the top of one side of the steak. Place the steaks in the skillet, salt and peppered side down. Sear the steaks for three minutes.

    • 5). Turn the steaks over. Sprinkle the mixture of 1/8 tsp. salt and 1/8 tsp. pepper over the top. Sear the steak for three minutes.

    • 6). Pour 1/2 cup of beef broth over the steaks. Place the skillet in the oven. Cook the steaks for 45 minutes or until the internal temperature is 145 degrees Fahrenheit.
