How to Get Organized When You Don't Have the Time

    • 1). Create a list of organization goals that you would like to achieve. Keep your goals as specific as possible. For instance, rather than write "organize the kitchen," break that down into "organize the silverware drawer," "organize the spice cabinet," etc. Keep your list handy so that you can add to it as more organization goals arise.

    • 2). Choose one goal at a time to work toward and do not start working on another goal until the first one is accomplished.

    • 3). Set aside as much time as you can spare each day to work toward your goal, even if it is just five minutes at a time.

    • 4). Spend the entire amount of time that you have set aside working on your organization project. Set a timer if you have to. When your allotted time is up, stop working.

    • 5). Continue working whenever you have even a few minutes to spare. When you have completed a task from your list, check it off and move on to the next task.
