3 Romantic Cheap Date Ideas - How to Rekindle That Flame Without Blowing the Budget

Imagine how it would feel if you could still afford to take your partner on an extravagant date, instead of spending another night in front of the television, barely talking. Romance is so much easier if you have money, right? Well, not necessarily. In this article, I'm going to show you three romantic cheap date ideas that will get you talking to each other again, and who knows - maybe more...

Date #1 - Go dancing
There is something sensual and passionate about dancing, especially Latin American style dancing such as salsa. Why not spend an evening in a steamy club dancing to the sounds of a live band, just letting your inhibitions go. It doesn't matter if you have two left feet, as you will be too caught up in the atmosphere (and each other!) to care - even if you just watch other people. Dancing clubs are often free or very cheap to enter and you will be too busy dancing to drink very much.

Date #2 - Take a guided tour of your life together
Can you remember the early days of your relationship? There are bound to be places that are special to you both, that marked a significant milestone in your life together - for example, the scene of your first kiss, the first time you said "I love you". Spend the day touring these places and you will find yourself revisiting the feelings you felt at that time. The brain works by making associations between things - recreate the experience and you'll recreate the romance.

Date #3 - Set up a treasure hunt
Has the mystery gone out of your long term relationship? A bit of intrigue is guaranteed to liven things up. Create this sense of mystery by leading your partner through a treasure hunt. You could even incorporate date idea #2 into this one, and use it as a way of visiting old haunts, alternatively, choose romantic parks, beaches or beautiful buildings. The treasure doesn't have to be anything expensive, but leave the best prize till last and make the final destination the bedroom.
