Obesity Surrounds Us! Are You in That Group? Do You Want Out?

The World Health Organization has raised an alarm every year for the last five years concerning the rising obesity in America.
Not only is it alarming that obesity is on the rise, but the health issues brought on by obesity is also alarming.
The risk factor for excess body fat are the same as those of heart disease and cancer! No wonder fat loss is ever present in all health magazines, the internet and the news.
Obesity is growing by leaps and bounds! In fact the increase in cases of obesity doubles every five years.
Even more alarming is the fact that close to 30% of school-age kids are labeled obese.
What causes all this body fat? We blame it on lots of things.
We attribute this overweight condition to too much television, being couch potatoes, surfing the internet for hours, junk food and bad nutrition! All of these may be contributing factors to the rise in obesity and explain why obesity has become a major health concern in America! A more important question is "What are we going to do about obesity?" Obesity is prevalent in America because we are not willing to change our life time habits.
We have lived on chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn on the cob and pecan pie! We are not going to change now if it kills us! You know what, it just might do that! In order to get rid of the obesity we must be willing to make lifestyle changes.
We must commit to a fat loss diet and exercise plan! Unfortunately, too many people are not willing to change their lifestyle or make changes in their diet to achieve fat loss.
They are looking for a quick fix.
They want immediate weight loss.
They plan to find a fat loss plan that will remove the fat overnight! There are no quick fixes! I have heard "You didn't gain it overnight and you won't lose it overnight" for years! I know this is true.
There is no way you are going to wake up skinny one morning! In order to gain one pound you must eat 3500 surplus calories.
The reverse is also true.
In order to lose one pound, you must have a deficit of 3500 calories.
At best, the average individual loses one pound per week by sticking to a 1000 calories per day.
If you walk approximately 3 miles per day, you burn 400 calories.
This means you could lose another pound per week.
If you can lose one pound per week by dieting and one pound per week by exercising, then you should be satisfied.
You would lose it safely and you could change your weight for the rest of your life.
Break free of your old eating patterns.
Stop old habits and set new ones.
Start eating healthy and exercising.
Get on a fat loss diet for your own health.
Change your lifestyle! Quit living to eat instead of eating to live!
