Spencer Green GDS

Spencer D. Green is the founder and chairman of GDS International – one among the world's leading events and publishing companies.

Spencer Green did his schooling at Millfield School and studied law at Kings College, London. An all-rounder, Spencer Green was active in almost all activities including rugby and Junior Wimbledon. He even represented Wales in the UK National Under-18 teams. Spencer Green is happily married to Emily and resides in Bristol, UK along with his two children Finley and Maya.

As a chairman of the company, Spencer Green played a great role in elevating the company and securing for it a niche among the top players in the field. The result saw GDS International finding a place amongst the Top 10 media companies in 2007 in a rating done by leading analysts.

Spencer started his career as Sales Executive in the year 1990 when he joined Sterling Publications. He climbed the career ladder very soon and as a successful Sales Manager at the company, Spencer Green helped Sterling Publications launch and sustain as many as ten business-to-business titles during his tenure at the company.

Realising his immense potential, Spencer Green proceeded to establish GDS Publishing Ltd in October 1993 with the aim to specialise in government-led and industrial publications and targeting the Chinese and Indian markets. GDS Publishing then became GDS International in the year 1998 and just as GDS International grew, so did Spencer Green make his presence known world-wide as a successful entrepreneur who was ready to take up challenges of any degree and also a person capable of taking his company forward.

With a target of achieving 25% growth this year the chairman and his company are working harder than ever before. Today, Spencer Green, GDS International and its people move forward with the determination to become the world's no.1 business-to-business events company.
